Registration is through the synagogue website at jcsvv.orgon the Events page. Cost for the concert alone is $20 and for the entire weekend of activities, meals, concert, workshops, is $36.
Friday evening service, 5:30 pm (MST): co-led by Rabbi Alicia and Reb David. Devorah will tell a story. Oneg follows.
Saturday morning Torah study, 11:00 am: Torah study and Shabbat morning songs with Reb David. Followed by luncheon.
Interfaith concert Saturday evening, 7:00 pm: An interfaith evening concert of storytelling and songs with Reb David and Devorah. The focus will be on the holidays of Passover and Easter.
Sunday Afternoon: 2:00-5:00 pm with two 90 minute workshops:
2:00 – 2:15 pm: Welcome and Introduction
2:15 – 3:30 pm: An Interfaith Journey with Rabbi David – Study with Reb David the history of Rabbinic Judaism and its influence on both Christianity and Islam. We’ll look at how the 1st century sects in Judaism have their parallels in modern Jewish and Christian denominations.
3:45 – 5:00 pm: Telling Your Story with Devorah – How do we share the key moments from our lives, and make our anecdotes into tellable tales? In this workshop we will use visualization, sensory imagery, story mapping, and small group sharing, to create oral stories that reflect the unique narratives of our lives.
