Donations and Gifts:
Many children in Guatemala do not have access to books, school supplies, art supplies, or toys at home or in a regular Guatemalan classroom.
We ask that if you want to arrange a supplies drive, the following is a list of suggested items:
- books in Spanish – especially for young kids
- school supplies – scissors, glue, crayons, markers, paper, notebooks, etc.
- art supplies – glitter, pom poms, yarn, sequins, etc.
- wooden toys like ones founds in Montessori schools (used toys are perfectly fine)
- gifts from your region such as a calendar with pictures of your state, practical items such as mugs, towels, and bags, or consumable items like jam, honey, or some other local favorites are all great gifts to offer host families and friends.
