Have you …. like us … had a love/hate relationship with the Apostle Paul?  The Apostle Paul has been a challenge in recent years …. not only because he is challenging, but also because of the perception that his letters are more supportive of Empire than community and undermine the leadership of women in the early ecclesia, or church.

Please read as follows to prepare for each class:

Week 1  - January 13

READ Intro and Chapter 1, Damascus 

Also read any version of I Thessalonians

Week 2   - January 20

READ Chapter 2- Antioch  and Chapter 3 - Land of Japheth

Also read Galatians and 1 & 2 Corinthians

Week 3  - January 27

READ  Chapter 4 - Opposition and Chapter 5 - The Collection and Afterlife  

Also read Philippians,  Philemon and Romans - as much as you can/wish.
