All levels welcome – no experience necessary! A fun exploration of the unique world of colored pencils. Colored pencil is fairly new as a Fine Art Medium and its secrets are awaiting your discovery. With just a few techniques, you will learn how to unlock the possibilities of Colored Pencil, creating vibrant colors, shapes, textures and subjects, allowing your imagination to flow! You can use colored pencil anywhere, anytime, to draw anything and take it as far as you want – or just enjoy scribbling with brilliant colors!

• Class is limited to 10 people

• We will provide the Colored Pencils (Prismacolor Premier) and the drawing paper

(Strathmore 400 2-ply Vellum)

• You will need to bring a small box of Q-Tips and a small bottle of pure Lavender

BIO

Rev. Dr. Sandra Byland has been a professional artist most of her adult life. She began winning awards for her work when she was just a teenager. Her colored pencil work has been internationally acclaimed, having developed her own colored pencil techniques over 30 years ago. Sandra is sharing these techniques in the art classes she is offering here.

She has been a member of Artists for Conservation, Artists Against Extinction, Colored Pencil Society of America, and her work has been highlighted in numerous national fine art magazines. Currently, she is working on a large body of work portraying the loving spirit of Jesus.
