Internationally acclaimed Master Colored Pencil Artist Sandra Byland teaches her COLORED PENCIL TECHNIQUES that she has developed over the last 35 years!

All levels welcome – no experience necessary! A fun exploration of the unique world of colored pencils. Colored pencil is fairly new as a Fine Art Medium and its secrets are awaiting your discovery. With just a few techniques, you will learn how to unlock the possibilities of Colored Pencil, creating vibrant colors, shapes, textures and subjects, allowing your imagination to flow! You can use colored pencil anywhere, anytime, to draw anything and take it as far as you want – or just enjoy scribbling with brilliant colors!

• Class is limited to 10 people

• We will provide the Colored Pencils (Prismacolor Premier) and the drawing paper

(Strathmore 400 2-ply Vellum)

• You will need to bring a small box of Q-Tips and a small bottle of pure Lavender

✓ Exploring Plein Air & the challenges of changing light and shadows working outside

✓ Drawing a still life from your own perspective (textures, hues, tones, shadows)

✓ Working from your own photographs – Taking pictures with your phone to work from!

✓ The advantages of using the camera to capture your models (a tremendous help in drawing children, animals, clouds, birds, insects, and anything that moves)

✓ The Art of Seeing – looking deeper into what we see, how we see & interpret it in art
